25th Jan 2010, 25 days post New Year, and I finally begin to implement my resolution. Yes, my new year resolution of writing my blog regularly, and I refused to define 'regularly'.
Well, the reason behind this goes to 3 Idiots!! Yes, I finally watched it. It was something so impact full for me that I just can't stop thinking about it. I thought of making 10 plans of watching this movie 10 more times, but I guess I would feel the same. And, I want to keep talking about it. So, I thought of my best tool writing. So, thats the story behind me remembering my resolution.
Coming back to topic of the day, 3 Idiots, in one word I would say the movie is "AWE SUM". Well, I thought the movie would have some pages of Five Point Someone, but good that it had its own taste. I must say, I have again fallen in love with Aamir Khan (i fell in lov with him after qyamat se qyamat tak, then dil hai ki manta nahi, then dil, then then then uff there r so mny). No doubt why he is know for perfection. Infact all the actors of the movie gave full justice to their roles. But, if I have mentioned Aamir Khan, I have to write about my other favourite actor- Boman Irani. Well, now this is what I call an Actor. Every role he does, he makes it a character. Whether it was Khurana sahab of Khosla Ka Ghosla or dean of university, he knows what the character is.
The story- the story tells us something that we all know. Somewhere at some phase of our life, we always talk to our heart saying "damn with everything, I will do what I want, coz thats where I'll excel". But, the then ultimately we compromise and make ourselves believe by saying "no, the real talent is to be able to churn out the best from every opportunity" and we move on with whatever we get or whatever is given to us by the circumstances. 3 Idiots, rings a bell, and tells us to walk on what we want to do. It tells us about something we already know. But yes, we have our circumstances which are hard to ignore. I would not say that movie is unreal, coz it doesn't show the real problems. Its always not easy to convince your parents or be allowed to get education at someone Else's name, etc etc. But then why can't we want to direct or see a movie which encourages our dream or thoughts. Does all our dream comes true? But our dreams or thoughts which we nurture are many a times given a shield of circumstances . Movies like this show us the other side of the coin. Why would we want to always see a movie that tells us about something we already experience everyday? Thats the first beauty of the movie. It makes us visualise ourselves in it. The friendship seen in the movie, touched my sensitive nerve. I really can't write more about the friendship think coz what I felt is really hard to describe. But yes it did remind of my engineer friends (atul and ani especially). The comedy was too good and new.
Well, I really hope to see this movie getting awards. My next watch will I guess be karthik calling only coz I love Farhan and and my movie partner loves Deepika ;)

do not get me started on this movie and i wont even mention aamir khan!
i loooovvvvveeeeeedddd the movie...it had me rolling with laughter one minute and sobbing with emotion the next. and even i have fallen in love with aamir...he is simply awesome!!
gud work deepika! I read your piece on 3 idiots. I can understand the way you feel. Glad to know you are sticking to your new yr resolution. Yes its a landmark movie and has set new standards for movie themes. I like the way you say that you cant express how the friendship part of the movie affected you. It says a lot without you not writing anything about it! Keep up the good work. :-)
